Thanks for being out there and doing a great job!

Captain & Crew of Lake Erie,
I was able to watch on the military channel how your ship was able to shoot down that satellite. That was an awesome job. I'd just like you to know that you really made everyone proud. I was once enlisted in the Navy myself and I'm now a member of the Fleet Reserve Association. I want the crew of the USS Lake Erie to know that you've really made every member and former member of the US Navy proud. The Navy has now shown itself to be the elite branch of the US military, and that's thanks to you. I just wanted your entire crew to know that everyone back here is in total support of the Navy and the entire US military. We get to stay free because you're out there patrolling the oceans ready to stop any possible threat to our country. So I just say thanks for your service. Don't ever think your work out there is not appreciated, because it is. As far as I'm concerned, there's no higher calling than serving in the US military. I also feel that the Navy is the most important branch of our military. So I'd just like all or you to stay encouraged, and be proud of your work. You're all doing a great job. If any of your crew is ever in Grand Junction, Colorado please come visit our FRA branch 244. We'd love to have you come by. Keep up the great job! Go Navy! Sincerely,
Mr. W. G. Antico
Grand Junction, CO
